Pros of buying D1MY-17996 front nos for 1971-1972 Mercury Guard, Meteor, and Marquis:1. Authenticity: Original parts are always preferred over aftermarket replacements. Buying OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) parts ensures that the bumper will fit perfectly and match the rest of the car's appearance.
2. Quality: Factory-made parts are usually of high quality, as they are designed and tested by the car manufacturer. This means that they are less likely to break or corrode over time.
3. Durability: OEM parts are often more durable than aftermarket parts, as they are made to withstand the same conditions that the original part was designed for.
4. Availability: OEM parts are usually easier to find than aftermarket parts, especially for older models like the 1971-1972 Mercury Guard, Meteor, and Marquis.
Cons of buying D1MY-17996 front nos for 1971-1972 Mercury Guard, Meteor, and Marquis:1. Cost: OEM parts can be more expensive than aftermarket parts, especially for older models. This can make them a less affordable option for some car owners.
2. Lead time: OEM parts can take longer to ship and deliver than aftermarket parts, especially if they need to be ordered directly from the manufacturer.
3. Limited availability: Some OEM parts may no longer be in production, making them difficult or impossible to find.
Conclusion:If you value the fit, quality, and durability of original parts, and can afford the higher cost, then buying D1MY-17996 front nos for your 1971-1972 Mercury Guard, Meteor, or Marquis is a good option. However, if you are looking for a more affordable option with quicker delivery, then aftermarket parts may be a better choice.
Recommendation:If budget is not a concern and you want to ensure that your car looks and performs its best, then I would recommend buying OEM D1MY-17996 front nos for your 1971-1972 Mercury Guard, Meteor, or Marquis. However, if you are on a tighter budget, then I would suggest looking for aftermarket parts that are specifically designed for your car model and year. Make sure to read reviews and check the quality of the parts before making a purchase to ensure that you are getting a good value for your money.
Thanks, Perry. Nos bumper guard for right front side on Mercury Marquis, or meteor. Expecting a proper polishing would finish the job, but as always, money back guaranteed for any reason after your inspection.
Not sure what this is, chrome polish and a power ball helped a lot but could not remove it all. Excellent overall but there is some cloudy appearance on the inside surface of the guard. The surface is smooth, not roughed or pitted, just has these dull regions.
